February 16, 2026We had a great stay this past weekend. The home was exceptionally clean and had a very comfortable, homey feel that made it easy to relax right away. Everything was well maintained and exactly as described. The space was cozy and felt more like a home than a rental. Communication with the host was easy and responsive, and check-in/check-out were seamless. We’d definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.

The Bear Creek Trail is about a 25-minute drive from the cabin and offers a beautiful hike through lush, moss-covered forests. This is the longest of our recommended hikes. It’s a lengthy day hike and a challenge, but a spectacular hike. The hike is in the Fort Mountain State Park ($5 entrance fee). We both work remotely. Chris runs a marketing firm and is a luthier on the side, and Jessica is an executive director of a construction association and loves a good project. We’re proud parents to three adventurous boys. We truly believe the mountains offer a special kind of magic and hope our cabin provides you with the perfect setting to relax, explore, and make memories.
